The Promise of Tomorrow

The humble seed- these little powerhouses hold the promise of tomorrow in their hearts. The destruction of natural habitat to make way for commercial crops threatens the diversity of plant species available. Hopefully the seed banks which have been established will preserve them for future generations.

  3. Thanks Lisa-Marie and Kate. This was a great challenge to work on and so interesting to see the varied designs and concerns that are highlighted.

  4. I love the colors you chose, Sue and the long pods. What are those? Living in a large agricultural belt, I often see "heirloom" varieties of fruits and vegetables (I bought red spinach the other day) that I never knew had existed. Makes me want to garden.

  5. From the huge Poinciana tree on our footpath Martha. I have used them in a number of quilts. We have sooo... many that fall and split open after the flowering in the Summer.
