Martha Wolfe is an award-winning studio quilter and founding member and curator of the international group, Viewpoints 9. Since 2010, her work has been shown in juried and group exhibitions throughout the world. Her work is informed by her earlier experience as a marine toxicologist and a deep, lifelong respect for nature. Using photographs from travel and backyard, she interprets both the natural and man-made world in her graphic, representational style.  In a fashion similar to a printmaker, she uses color value in cotton and silk to create shadow and light, adding organza to create depth and dimension. Birds, bicycles, and fish are frequently celebrated in her artwork.
